Brother Tommy Wallace:

As Sunday school Superintendent , I see the need for Biblical truths like never before. My wife and I went to college later in life, knowing that education is important. How much more is the word of God important to all of us today in the world in which we live. We are blessed to have great teachers. Being a former youth pastor, I am glad to know that we have something for all ages. Remember , we are never to old to learn

Sis. Kecia and Sis. Thelma:

NBG Children’s Church is a place where children come to learn the timeless truths found in God's word in a friendly, safe and creative environment, so that kids can learn;

• I can trust God no matter what
• I need to make wise choices by following God's way
• I should treat others the way I want to be treated
• I need to serve others and tell God's story
• I use my time, money, and talents for God
• I worship God with my life
• I love God's Church

It is our goal to help equip children with knowledge of the Word of God, and to teach them how to apply and follow the Word in their daily lives.  (Hebrews 13:2, Proverbs 2:1-5) So that we might see each child accept Jesus as his/her personal Savior as they grow in knowledge and understanding.

Bro. Martin and Bro. Whittaker:

Lifebuilders is a ministry and discipleship initiative for men.  We hope to help men discover how to follow Christ fully, connect with other believers, and be the men of God they were created to be.  We hope to help men be better husbands, better fathers, better leaders, and more dynamic witnesses.  We try to accomplish this through bible studies, book studies, community outreach, and fellowship with each other.  Some of our fellowship opportunities include skeet shoots, camping trips, men's breakfasts, golf, etc.  We believe Proverbs 27:17 speaks to our mission, "As iron sharpens iron, so a man sharpens another."

To grow as leaders and mentors who disciple others

Ladies of the North Bowling Green Church of God count it a privilege to serve in ministry to our families.  All of our ladies have opportunities to participate in a fall bible study as well as one in the spring.  What a blessing to be able to share in drawing closer to God as well as to one another.

We support the function of all ministries in our church- infant thru senior adults.  Whatever is going on you will find us at work whether in the lead or behind the scenes.

The "Sonshiners" is a seniors program in our church for people 50 and older.  It is a program that meets every third Tuesday at noon, where we have food, fun, and fellowship.  These seniors are fighting the fight, keeping the course and continuing in the faith of our Lord.  Come and visit with us at North Bowling Green Church of God.

Josh and Becky Browning:

We try to keep the youth active and involved in the church.  We have a teen class on Sunday mornings during Sunday School, as well as, a teen class on Wednesday nights, both of which meet in the high school/middle school classroom.  Also, we have a Sunday night Bible Study which takes place at Josh & Becky’s house.  We also try to have monthly events for the teens to get together to hang out in a safe and wholesome environment.  Monthly activities include movie & game nights, cookouts, bonfires, scavenger hunts, lock-ins, etc.  We also try to plan an annual trip to the Church of God Smoky Mt. Winterfest in Knoxville, TN. From time to time, we like to get the teens involved in service projects, such as visiting nursing homes, cleaning the church, etc.  Josh and Becky love working with the youth group and planting seeds of the Gospel and of Christian discipleship and servant-hood into the minds and hearts of our young people.  Other members of our Youth Group leadership team include Shelly Browning and Carol Wertz.

 

Byron and Elsa Reyes have played a pivotal roll in the building of our Hispanic following at North Bowling Green Church of God. We also provide translation services for all that English is not their first language.  Elsa also is the music director for our Hispanic services

Tony Miller has been running the sound for our church for many years.
